If you aren't sure that Christmas is hurtling toward us like a speeding freight train, the question is "where have you been?"

If the parades, Black Friday, seasonal banners and Christmas music hasn't convinced you that the season to be jolly is on its way, how about this?

The Salvation Army Red Kettles have been seen from one end of Punxsutawney to the other.

Capt. Keith Jache, Salvation Army co-commander, said they always start with three stores in the beginning of November.
