DuBois-based Pennsylvania State Police reported a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and claimed the lives of three individuals in Clearfield County.

Police said that a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado operated by William Charles Tyler, 71, Weedville, was traveling north on State Route 255 just north of Parrish Road, Huston Township, when the vehicle crossed over the center line and struck a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Jeffery Lynn Jacob, 50, St. Marys, in a head-on collision.

The Trailblazer was engulfed in flames after the collision. Tyler was not wearing his seatbelt, and it is unknown if Jacob or his passenger — Ruth B. Buganza, 84, St. Marys — were wearing their seatbelts.

All three individuals involved in the crash were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
