Jefferson County Jaguars visit Creative Garden

Staff Writer

Last week, some of the Jefferson County Jaguars players got to relive their childhoods at Creative Garden preschool. David Rotsch and Erin Cameron collaborated to make Friday morning memorable for all involved. With the help of teachers Brittany Caldwell and Alli Lunger, 12 Jaguars players met with 18 students. There was a brief meet-and-greet, followed by a quick question-and-answer session. Ms. Brittany suggested that everyone go outside to play, and that’s when the age difference between the kids and adults disappeared. The Jaguar players ran some plays with the kids, with everyone scoring a touchdown and playing defense too. Jaguars players Dan Knarr, Sean Kennelley, Gage Arrington, Perry Arrington, Josh Neal, Troy O’Brien, Josh Flinn, Allan Mahan, Kyler Carroll, Jake Ross and David Rotsch and coach Nate Davis played chase, threw and caught footballs, wrestled and even had a tea party. “Everyone had a great time, and it was wonderful to see everyone involved and enjoying something different about the day. All the children, the teachers and players had a day they won’t forget,” the team said in a release.
