Flight 93 National Memorial Visitor Center Opens

The Flight 93 National Memorial Visitor Center officially opened its doors in Shanksville, on Sept. 10. To honor the 40 passengers and crew members who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, the Flight 93 National Memorial Visitor Center Complex was built. Designed by architect Paul Murdoch, complex includes a permanent exhibit, a multipurpose gathering space, pedestrian trails and the dramatic flight path and overlook.
