CHUCK DALY GOLF TOURNEY SEES VISIT FROM DALY’S DAUGHTER

Chuck Daly's daughter visited several landmarks connected to her father — who taught and coached in Punxsutawney — on the day of the golf tournament that is named for him.

A whirlwind tour was arranged by the Chuck Daly Foundation to show Cydney Daly highlights of the town where her father, Chuck Daly, started his career as a basketball coach at Punxsutawney High School from 1956 through 1963.

Daly was also the golf coach when the sport was revived after a 15-year lapse.

His students practiced at the Punxsutawney Country Club, where he was club champ in 1961.
