Breaking news: Cavs force Game 6 with win at Golden State

-- In desperate need of a win, the Cleveland Cavaliers got just that on Monday night, defeating the Golden State Warriors 112-97 to force a Game 6 in the best-of-seven NBA Finals.

The game was tied 61-61 at halftime, but Cleveland outscored the reigning champions 32-23 in the third quarter to open up an advantage.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving scored 41 points apiece for the Cavaliers to lead the offensive push, with J.R. Smith scoring 10 to join them in double digits.

Klay Thompson scored 37 for the Warriors, with Steph Curry adding 25.

Golden State still holds a 3-2 advantage in the series. Game 6 will be on Thursday in Cleveland.
