Punxsy's Luke Shiock has been named the 2014 KSAC Large All-Conference Lineman of the Year. The honor for Shiock comes after a successful season by the Chucks and comes at a position where it can be hard to recognize a player's strengths.
Punxsy Head Coach Alan Nichol said that lots of teams the Chucks faced this year had to implement game plans to work around Shiock, which speaks to his strength, both offensively and defensively.
Punxsy filled 11 spots on the first-team All-Conference list, as well.
28 New Orleans (4-4) @ 10 Carolina (3-5-1)
New Orleans took over sole possession of first place in the NFC South, as running back Mark Ingram continued his strong season as he ran for 100+ yards and 2 touchdowns. The New Orleans defense was able to stymy Carolina QB Cam Newton, who was 10-28 passing for 151 yards.
