Gertrude M. Bouch, 94, of Mahaffey, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Mrs. Bouch was born Sept. 19, 1919, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of the late Murray and Alka (Baney) McClinsey.
Sept. 4, 1937, she married her husband, Paul Bouch, who preceded her in death Sept. 15, 1998.
Mrs. Bouch worked at the Clearfield Cheese Plant in Curwensville and operated her and her husband's dairy farm together.
She was Protestant by faith and loved to read her Bible every day.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
Donald Lee â€śRoosterâ€ť Himes, 69, Brush Street, Brookville, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at home.
He was born July 30, 1944, in Brookville, the son of Stewart Vincent Himes and Esther Jane Sprankle Himes.
In 1996, he married Barbara Ann Schrecengost, who preceded him in death on Feb. 27, 2008.
Mr. Himes was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He worked various jobs, including working for Byerly Tire of Brookville, and most recently retiring from Beverage Air in Brookville, after working for them for more than 20 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports.
Cora Ilene Martz, 86, of Ringgold, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday evening, April 16, 2014, at the Brookville Hospital.
She was born on Jan. 17, 1928, in New Bethlehem, the daughter of Grant C. and Lillian I. (Schilling) Shaffer.
She was married on Oct. 31, 1947, to Robert V. Martz, and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2004.
Cora was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Ringgold.
She helped her husband on the farm milking cows, and she sold Avon.
She belonged to the L C W womenâ€™s group of the church and the Red Hat Society of New Bethlehem.
Frances Jean Patrick, 76, of Mahaffey, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte.
She was born Aug. 20, 1937, in Bradford, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Isabelle (Brown) Battles.
Her enjoyments were gardening, cooking, mowing the grass and taking care of her dogs.
Gregory J. Gresock, 65, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Greg was born on Oct. 19, 1948, the son of the late Matthew and Helen (Anderson) Gresock, in Punxsutawney and grew up in Anita. He had lived in the Syracuse, N.Y. area for almost 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dana Gresock; his brothers, Jack and Terry Gresock; and his sister, Janice (Fred) Pellegrino.
Helen Louise Dean, 85, of Henderson Street in Brookville, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, surrounded by her family at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.
Helen was the daughter of William L. Duncan and Bessie C. Bartle Duncan, born on May 16, 1928 in Portersville, Pa.
In 1948, she married Jay Fred Dean Sr., who survives.
Helen retired from the Brookville Area School District, where she was the supervisor and cook of the Hickory Grove Cafeteria for 27 years.
Elsie DePassio Goss, 102, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Iselin, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at Mulberry Square Elder Care &
Mrs. Goss was born April 6, 1912, in Aultman, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Direnzo) DePassio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Blair C. Goss, Sr.
Elsie resided in Iselin, Pa., for 68 years.
The Rev. Gary D. Keith, 44, of Hawthorn, Pa., died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Punsxutawney Area Hospital.
Born July 22, 1969, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Elmer D. Keith and Patrica E. Choate, who survives, of Olathe, Kan.
He graduated from Moravia High School in Moravia, Iowa.
He received a degree in religion from Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. He also attended Nazarene Bible College.
He was married to Amanda Hetrick on August 7, 1993, in Brookville.
Betty Jane Snyder, 75, went home to be with her Lord on Friday morning, April 11, 2014, at her home in Hamilton, Pa.
Betty was born Jan. 11, 1939, daughter of the late Joseph and Elma (Newcome) Bish, in Coolspring, Pa.
She was married on May 21, 1960, to Verner Snyder, who preceded her in death.
Betty is survived by one brother, Richard Bish of DuBois; a daughter, Amy Murphy; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Leslie (Lyle) Snyder of Hamilton; and grandchildren Sara Murphy and Becky and Joey Snyder of Hamilton.
Betty L. Hicks, 94, of Rochester Mills, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2014 at Beacon Ridge in Indiana.
Mrs. Hicks was born on March 14, 1920 in Dixonville, a daughter of the late Jacob and Bessie (Sherry) Brilhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jesse D. Hicks, in 1992.
