TWO-VEHICLE WRECK IN BIG RUN

A two-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. Friday on Route 119 in Big Run, when a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by Lorie A. Lennox, 43, of Big Run, was stopped in the northbound travel lane on Route 119 with an activated left turn signal, waiting to make a turn onto Smyers Street, and it was struck from behind by a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Cammy M. Wardell, 36, of Big Run, according to Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said both vehicles were removed from the travel lanes onto Smyers Street.

Wardell and Lennox suffered minor injuries, while a juvenile male passenger in Wardell’s vehicle was not injured in the crash.

Police were assisted at the scene by Jefferson County EMS, Big Run Volunteer Fire Department Personnel, Sykesville Ambulance and Brocious Towing.
