Thomas "Shiner" Doyle Snyder, Sr., 62

Thomas "Shiner" Doyle Snyder, Sr., 62, of Mayport, Pa., died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, with his loving family at his side.

He was born March 27, 1951, in Brookville, the son of the late Howard "Snitz" Doyle Snyder and Sarah Josephine Caylor.

He was a member of the National Guard and worked as a coal miner and truck driver.

He was also the owner of the Thomas Snyder Coal Company.

He is survived by one son, Thomas D. Snyder, Jr. and wife Deborah of Ringgold; one daughter, Melissa Humble and husband David of Ringgold; and by one sister, Kathy Goss and husband John of Ringgold.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Mason McGuire, Devan Snyder, Marissa McGuire and Chelsea Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Douglas
Snyder.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Duffee officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
