Ralston A."Humphrey" Curry, 83, of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Wellington Heights.

Mr. Curry was born May 6, 1930, in Reynoldsville, a son of the late Raymond and Viola (Startzel) Curry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Marie (Means) Curry. They were married Aug. 18, 1951.

Ralston began his first business venture with a hot dog wagon. He was known for his special sauce.

He was a bartender for the Punxsutawney Country Club and retired from Harvey Welding Supply Company.

He and his wife, Sara Marie, loved camping.

He is survived by two sons, John Curry and wife Abby of Sprankle Mills, and Thomas Curry and wife Laurie of Winchester, Va.; one daughter, Becky Halberg of Blairsville; six grandchildren, Michael Jon Halberg, Matthew Curry, Adam Curry, Christopher Curry, Stephanie Curry and Elana Curry; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Curry, Elliott Curry and Halie Halberg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Sara Marie, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ken Curry; and a son-in-law, Melvin Halberg.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glenn McQuown officiating.

Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
