July 22, 2013

REYNOLDSVILLE — The Pennsylvania State Police Troop C VICE unit began an undercover investigation on July 2 into the distribution of heroin in the Reynoldsville area.

The Troop C VICE unit made several undercover purchases of heroin from Paul Neves, 30, Reynoldsville, in and around his Brown Street residence, according to police.

On July 19, Neves was taken into custody on a traffic stop in the Reynoldsville Borough.

A search warrant was then conducted at Neves' residence.

Police report that heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, U.S. currency and several electronics were seized as a result of the search.

Police believe several of the electronics are stolen.

Neves was placed in the Jefferson County Jail.

The investigation continues at this time, and police report that additional charges against Neves will be filed at a later date.
