PennDOT: Work in progress on Route 36 preventative maintenance project

August 26, 2013

OLIVER TOWNSHIP — Work began last week on a highway preventative maintenance project on Route 36 in Oliver Township, Jefferson County.

Resurfacing, drainage, and guiderail updates are being performed on Route
36 beginning just south of T-386 (Cemetery Road) and ending just west of T-326 (Hoffman Road) in the Coolspring area.

Motorists can expect daylight, flagger-controlled lane restrictions in the project area.

PennDOT wants to remind motorists to slow down, be alert for changing conditions and drive responsibly in the work zone.

Minimize distractions and obey flaggers for your safety and the safety of the workers. Congestion and delays are possible.

This $1,311,004 highway preventative maintenance project is being constructed by HRI, Inc., of State College and is expected to be completed in mid-October.

When it comes to children riding in cars, safety always comes first.
