NSDAR honors essay winners at recent meeting

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) recently honored the winners of the local chapter’s essay contests.

Pictured (front, from left) are Kayla Troutman, sixth-grade Punxsutawney Christian School student; Lauren Giavedoni, a senior at Punxsutawney Area High School; and Daniel Kunselman, a fifth-grade Punxsutawney Area Middle School student; (back) Jonna Irvin, NSDAR Good Citizen Award chair; Judy Heitzenrater, American history essay chair; and Joan Olp, NSDAR regent.

Missing from the picture is Nicholas Joseph Mancuso, a seventh-grade Ss. Cosmas and Damian School student.
