Mayor proclaims Saturday ‘Punxsy Polamalu Day’

Today, the “Punxsy Polamalus” will be participating in the McDonald’s Steelers Trivia Contest in Pittsburgh.

Friday, Punxsutawney Mayor James Wehrle issued the following proclamation:

“Whereas Punxsutawney has always had some great trivia teams; whereas Mike Stello has always represented Punxsutawney well;

whereas Bob Long (pictured above, right, with Wehrle) has always represented Punxsutawney well;

whereas Nick Digilarmo has always represented Punxsutawney well;

whereas Stello, Long and Digilarmo are representing Punxsutawney in the McDonald’s Steelers Trivia Contest this weekend;

whereas the people of Punxsutawney are very proud of the Punxsy Polamalu Trivia Team;

therefore, I, James P. Wehrle, Mayor of Punxsutawney, hereby proclaim May 18 and 19, 2013, as Punxsy Polamalu Day in Punxsutawney and make Bob Long and Nick Digilarmo honorary citizens of Punxsutawney.

In witness whereof, I hereunto have set my hand and caused the seal of the city of Punxsutawney to be affixed this day.”
