Judith B. Redding, 71, of Punxsutawney, died Friday, March 21, 2014, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Harlan and Olive (Lewis) Spencer.

On Feb. 7, 1959, she married Thomas Frederick Redding. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2014.

Judy enjoyed being outside, working in the garden and going for walks.

She is survived by four children, T. Randall Redding of Punxsutawney, Brian Redding and wife Mary Ann of Walston, Denise L. Geist and husband Rick of Punxsutawney, and Jill E. Carey and husband Bill of Punxsutawney; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Spencer and wife Jane Ann, and Richard Spencer and wife Vicki; and one sister, Janene Spencer, all of Punxsutawney.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lisa Marie Ball. She preceded her in death on March 19, 2014.

There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
