Ivan Robert Kunselman, 83

Ivan Robert Kunselman, 83, of Punxsutawney, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at home.

He was born May 11, 1930, at the Kunselman Farm in Porter Township, a son of the late Murtten Byron and Martha (Yarger) Kunselman.

He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Marie Reed, who he married on Oct. 2, 1950.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Robert I. Kunselman and wife Betty of Hollidaysburg, Pa., Louise Vasbinder and
husband Dennis of Reynoldsville, James B. Kunselman and wife Mary Lynn of Punxsutawney, Kathy J. Burkett and husband Kenneth of San Antonio, Texas, William A. Kunselman of Punxsutawney, and Gregory S. Kunselman and wife Rebecca of Punxsutawney; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; five brothers, Arthur R. Kunselman of Punxsutawney, Leroy J. Kunselman of Murraysville, Gilbert H. Kunselman of Dayton, Victor M. Kunselman of South Carolina and Andrew B. Kunselman of Ford City; and three sisters, Marie Emberg of Punxsutawney, Eva I. Benjamin of Anita and Florence M. Reiner of Erie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Norman M. Kunselman and Monroe H. Kunselman; and three sisters, Mary A. Phillips, Mae L. Troutman and Beatrice E. Lloyd.

He was a member of the Grange Church of God.

Ivan worked as an autobody technician and retired in 1992 from Murray's Ford in DuBois.

After he retired, he enjoyed hobby farming and spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Grange Church of God, officiated by Pastor Janis Bracken.

Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery, Porter Township, Jefferson
County.
