Indiana-based PSP investigating air pellet gun shooting in Marion Center

Indiana-based Pennsylvania State Police are currently investigating a drive-by shooting involving an air pellet gun that occurred along Church Hill Road in Marion Center.

According to police, unknown individuals in a silver/grey pickup truck drove past the home of Derek Colberg, 27, at 7 p.m. on Saturday night.

Colberg was shot at with an air pellet weapon, which struck him in the left side, causing minor injuries. He initially did not know what kind of weapon he had been shot with, and Colberg shot back at the suspect pickup truck with a weapon he had by his front door. The shot struck the pickup truck on the passenger side.

Police do not identify what kind of weapon was used by Colberg or the exact model of air pellet gun that was used by the suspects.

Police have interviewed some individuals who are persons of interest in the investigation.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the incident is still under investigation.
