Groundhog Festival events Schedule for Today, Thursday

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The schedule for today's activities at the Groundhog Festival is as follows:

• 10 a.m. — Registration for the Three-Wheel Race (ages 3-4);

• 10:30 a.m. — Registration for Three-Wheel Race II (ages 5-7);

• 10:30 a.m. — Three-Wheel Race I;

• 11 a.m. — Three-Wheel Race II;

• 11 a.m. — Registration for Scooter Race (ages 7-9, no power-assisted scooters);

•11:30 am. — Scooter Race;

• 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Make-A-Wish Face Painting;

• 10 a.m. to noon — Children's activities (ages 6-12) at the Lattimer House. This year's focus is military/community (sponsored by the Punxsutawney Historical & Genealogical Society;

• 11 to 11:30 a.m. — M&M Magicians;

• 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Dennie Huber's Balloons;

• Noon to 12:30 p.m. — Rock & Roll Pet Show;

• 1 to 1:30 p.m. — M&M Magicians;

• 2 to 2:30 p.m. — Rock & Roll Pet Show;

• 3 to 3:30 p.m. — M&M Magicians;

• 3 to 5 p.m. — Dennie Huber's Balloons;

• 4 to 4:30 p.m. — Rock & Roll Pet Show;

• 5:30 p.m. — Registration for the 18th Annual Community Center
Groundhog 5K/2-Mile Fun Walk begins at the Punxsutawney Area Community Center;

• 7 p.m. — 18th Annual Community Center Groundhog 5K/2-Mile Fun Walk;

• 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. — The Holidays (50s, 60s and 70s music);

• 9 to 10 p.m. — The Holidays (second show), sponsored by Punxsutawney Rotary Club.

The schedule for Thursday’s activities at the Groundhog Festival is as follows:

• 10 a.m. to noon — Children’s activities (ages 6-12) at the Lattimer House;

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Dennie Huber’s Balloons;

• 11:30 a.m. to noon — M&M Magicians;

• 1 to 1:30 p.m. — M&M Magicians;

• 2 to 4 p.m. — Dennis Huber’s Balloons;

• 2:30 to 3 p.m. — M&M Magicians;

• 3 to 5 p.m. — Music by Rumor Has It (variety);

• 7 to 8 p.m. — Greg Allan Band (tribute to Garth Brooks), sponsored by
Proform Powdered Metals and S&T Bank;

• 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. — Greg Allan Band (second show);

• 9:30 to 9:45 p.m. — Fireworks sponsored by Thermal-Gard Building Products, Inc. and Burke & Sons.
