For children who love to camp or dream of camping, there is a new opportunity, as they are welcome to come out to a different type of camp.

This Sunday, the First Assembly of God in Walston will begin the Son Rock Kids Camp Vacation Bible School.

The event will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 21 through 26 at the church in Walston.

Kids in pre-school through sixth grade will not only learn Bible teachings, but also get the chance to make birdhouses, design backpacks and make binoculars, as well as other camping-type crafts and activities.

Those wishing to register may do so by calling 938-4926 or through Facebook.

You may also register at the church on Sunday, as the event begins.
