Donald J. Wolfe, 57

Donald J. Wolfe, 57, Brookville, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Brookville Hospital.

He was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Butler, a son of the late James Donald Wolfe and Wilma Jane Sollinger Wolfe, who survives, of Knox.

Aug. 4, 2007, in Brookville, he married Pokey Wolfe, who survives.

Mr. Wolfe worked as a laborer for the Glen-Gery Hanley Brick Plant in Summerville for 28 years,and he also worked for the Forest Way Inn for 10 years.

He was an avid artist and enjoyed art, camping, hunting and his dogs.

He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and mother, surviving relatives include a son, Christopher Wolfe of Franklin; three step-daughters, Jennifer Porter of Knox Dale and Jessica Ford and Jodi Smith, both of Brookville; a brother, John S. Wolfe of Brookville; three sisters, Penny Karnbauer of West Mifflin, Kim Grossman of Harrisville and Tina Johnson of Hawthorne; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Starr Wolfe.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. today at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with Karen Hughey officiating.
