Chucks 'D' up Dutchmen

Staff Writer

On Friday night, the Punxsy Chucks football team picked up its second win of the season with a 23-6 victory at St. Marys. Punxsy’s defense was stellar — allowing just one touchdown to the Dutchmen offense, and the offense made some big plays to keep things rolling. The turning point in the game came after a St. Marys blocked punt gave the home team a very short field, but Punxsy’s defense answered the bell and stuffed the run attempt on first down, then Tyler Richardson (pictured here) jumped in front of a pass at the goal line for an interception that turned the tide and kept Punxsy in the lead.
