PUNXSUTAWNEY — Jeff Curtis, president of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, has announced that the Chamber’s executive director has resigned to take a position at another local establishment.

Marlene Lellock has accepted the newly-created position as executive director of the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center.

In his comments, Curtis said, “Marlene has helped promote Punxsutawney businesses and the Punxsutawney community for 14 years as the Punxsy Chamber executive director. I look back and can see the efforts of her hard work and how her dedication has left our Chamber stronger and a vital part of our community.”

According to Curtis, the Chamber has formed a hiring committee to begin the process of finding a new executive director and plans to have someone in place as soon as possible.
